Manage your images

Running an e-commerce business means juggling hundreds — sometimes thousands — of product photos across multiple marketplaces. Keeping track of every image, knowing which version is current, and getting the right files to the right people can eat up hours of your week. The Media Library in PixelFiddler gives you a single home for all of that.

The Media Library is your central hub for every product photo your business uses. Instead of scattering images across desktops, email threads, and cloud drives, you store them in one organized, searchable place. From there you can edit, transform, share, and download — all without leaving PixelFiddler.

Getting images into PixelFiddler is straightforward. You have two options:

  • Upload from your computer — Drag and drop files or click Upload to browse your local folders. You can upload individual images or entire batches at once.
  • Connect cloud storage — Link your existing Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage account so PixelFiddler can pull images directly from where they already live.

No matter how your images arrive, they are ready to organize and transform the moment they land in your library.

As your catalog grows, folders keep everything tidy. Create a folder structure that mirrors the way you think about your products — by category, season, marketplace, or however works best for your team. Move images between folders with a simple drag and drop.

Need to find a specific product shot fast? Use the search bar to look up images by file name or tag. You can also filter your library by date, file type, or custom tags to narrow results down in seconds.

Manually tagging every photo is tedious. PixelFiddler can automatically analyze your images and apply descriptive tags — like “white background,” “lifestyle shot,” or “close-up” — so your library organizes itself as you upload. You can review and adjust any tag at any time.

Every image carries metadata that matters to your business. Open any file to see and edit details like:

  • SKU — Link the image directly to your product identifier
  • Product name — Keep a human-readable label alongside the file
  • Dimensions and file size — Confirm the image meets marketplace requirements
  • Custom fields — Add any extra information your workflow needs

Having this data attached to every image means fewer spreadsheets and less guesswork when you are preparing listings.

Every edit you make to an image is saved. The Version History panel lets you scroll through past versions, compare them side by side, and restore an older version if you need to roll back a change. You will never lose work or wonder which file is the latest.

Working with photographers, designers, or virtual assistants? Pin comments directly on an image to give precise feedback — no more vague email descriptions. Team members see comments in context, right on the photo, so everyone stays aligned.

Sometimes you need to share a set of images with a client, supplier, or external team member who does not have a PixelFiddler account. Create a Shared Collection with just the images you choose, and send a link. You control access with:

  • Time-limited links that expire after a set period
  • Password protection for an extra layer of security

Recipients can view and download the images you have shared — nothing more.

Why edit one image at a time when you can transform hundreds in a single operation? Select multiple images and apply bulk actions like:

  • Resize to marketplace-specific dimensions
  • Remove backgrounds automatically
  • Convert to a different file format
  • Apply consistent effects across an entire product line

Once your images are processed and ready, select everything you need and download them in one go. PixelFiddler packages your files into a single download so you can upload them to your marketplace or hand them off to your team without chasing individual files.
